Chicken Tic-Tac-Toe
I’m currently taking the free Harward CS50 Introduction to Computer Science course and built a chicken tic-tac-toe for the scratch assignment. Tic-Tac-Toe was one of the first things I programmed in university and is now my go-to project when trying out new programming languages and frameworks.

Various special items can be used to contact the ghosts that haunt the stone halls of Greifenstein. The countess’ secrets must be uncovered by solving logical puzzles with a supernatural touch. Each of the castle’s distinct rooms offers a unique and dense atmosphere for players to immerse themselves in. Keeping in tradition with the board games, everything in and around the game can be part of the puzzles.
Medical VR – Search Training
Search Training is a medical VR application that trains hemianopsia patients to compensate for their vision loss with eye movement and collects training data.
Genre: Medical App
Platform: Google Daydream
Artstil: 2D
Engine: Unity 3D
Year: 2018
Configurable stimuli pairs are displayed on a sphere surrounding the user. Head movement can’t be used to control the viewpoint, forcing the user to use her eyes to compensate. The app tracks response times and error values which are written to the SD card of the device for later analysis.
Multiple difficulty settings and stimuli pairs can be configured in a setup file (JSON Format). Stimuli are provided as TIFF files and are loaded at runtime according to the setup file. A Fibonacci Sphere is used to space the stimuli ‘evenly’ on the sphere surface and minimise visual artefacts. The area and quadrants in which stimuli are displayed can be configured.
The app was used in 2 master’s theses in psychology at LMU Munich.
The aMAZEing Labyrinth
A mobile adaption of the classic ‘Das verrückte Labyrinth’ by Ravensburger.
Genre: Puzzle
Platform: Mobile (android, ios)
Artstil: 3D
Engine: Unity 3D
Year: 2021
Duration: 7 month
My Part:
- Artificial intelligence
- Pawn movement
- General gameplay features
All of the rules – like shifting the labyrinth and collecting treasures and secrets – were transferred to the digital version, in order to provide a faithful experience to players. A fresh breath of air comes with the 3D environment, in which the game table is located. It is decorated like the room of a wizard’s tower and sets the right mood and atmosphere.
Next to the classic Labyrinth and Junior Labyrinth, several other editions with slightly different rules are included in the app to spice things up. The Ocean Labyrinth, Master Labyrinth and country editions all add a new layer to the gameplay and also come with their own handcrafted table decoration, music and visual appearance.
Craftspeople at the Museum
I’m really happy to announce that the Museum der Alltagskultur (museum of everyday culture) in Waldenbuch added Craftspeople to their exhibition. It’s a game I contributed to at the Coding da Vinci Hackathon in 2019.
A Jesters Tale
A Jesters Tale is a small rhythm game/RPG prototype that I had the pleasure to contribute to at the first Nementic Game Jam. The player character is a jester whose goal is to entertain the king. He will play for simple townspeople, at taverns or larger cities on his journey.
I will not upload a web build of the prototype for you because we added copyrighted music. We planned to replace the tracks with free music but the time ran out.

Craftspeople
This is the prototype of an interactive learn-app for children created at the cultural hackathon ‘Coding da Vinci Süd 2019’ (Link).
It transfers the lithographs of the state museum Würtemberg about craftspeople of the 19. century into an app. The goal of the historic pictures was to explain the crafts and there tools to children. The app remains true to this approach and makes it interactable to reach children in the present.
Demo:
Due to the short duration of the hackathon only the craft of the bookbinder is playable.
The app is open source and available on github.

Summary:
Space Shop VR was a contract work for Media Markt at the Media Design Innovation Hub (MD.I Hub) where I was working as a programmer. Media Markt wanted a VR game that is played in a group of several people with just 1 VR-headset but is enjoyable for all players at the same time.
We did a design workshop at the MD.I Hub, where I came up with the idea that we could do a game where one player is the shop keeper in a sci-fi shop and the other players, must help him to translate the pantomime of the alien clients to sell them the correct items.
The clue is, that the VR-player has to imitate the pantomime of the aliens so the other players can translate it with the help of a handbook. So the handbook players can look at there friend doing quiet silly pantomime and solve the riddle of the translation. While they are solving the translation puzzle the VR-player is interacting with cute aliens and an amazing sci-fi world.
It is essential to the game that the VR player can’t memorize the translation rules and skip the communication with the other players. Because of this fact, we decided to procedurally generate all possible behavior patterns that our aliens can perform. This leads to up to a thousand different behaviors that one alien can perform to tell the player that it wants to buy a burger.
